APP STORM LAB: Build Crazy, Secret, Super-Fun Apps

Do your kids dream up wild ideas for apps—like one that screams when you shake your phone, snaps a selfie when you say “banana,” or plays a secret sound only their friends know? Now they can build it for real!

At IWEC, our MIT App Inventor course turns curious kids aged 11–13 into app inventors—no coding experience needed. Using a simple drag-and-drop system, they’ll bring their craziest concepts to life as working apps that run right on their own smartphones.

More than just tech skills, this journey builds creativity, logic, and fearless problem-solving—all through hands-on projects that feel like play. From the very first session to the final launch, our instructor will guide them step by step, turning “What if…?” into “I made this!”

PHASE 1: RECRUIT — “WELCOME TO THE LAB” Build your first app before snack time ends.

PHASE 2: EXPERIMENT — “BREAK IT. FIX IT. MAKE IT WEIRD.” Add shake sensors, voice triggers, and surprise animations.

PHASE 3: ENGINEER — “BUILD YOUR DREAM APP (YES, EVEN THAT ONE)” Design prank apps, mystery games, or useful inventions — your call.

PHASE 4: LAUNCH — “DEPLOY TO THE WORLD (OR AT LEAST YOUR CLASS)” Polish, present, and unleash your masterpiece. Fame & high-fives guaranteed.
